So, things are going along just fine here. We are traveling to the coast this weekend for a special Zone Visit which is being help at the soccer stadium. That sould be fun. Most of our congregation will be going. This last Sunday we had the highest attendance at meeting so far. 62! It actually looked like a normal-sized congregation in the hall for once. Among the 62 were 2 bible studies, 2 return visits, a few older couples who want to serve here in English, and lots of visitors. A friend from New Zealand gave the talk and so all his family who are serving in Spanish congregations came as well.
Anywho, so what's new with us? We've been extremely busy studying and going in service. We are both back in school, studying Medical anatomy, terminology and surgical procedures to be Medical Transcriptionists. It's been a challenge, but a fun one, as we both love the medical field. We are close to being half way through the one-year course, which we're taking online. Once we graduate, we hope to work online from home, here in Cuenca. We have finished the theory and terminology portion of the course and are now embarking on the 800 report/ 350 hours (audio), of live medical dictation ahead.
Oh btw, before I forget, we are hoping to sub-let our apt while we are gone beginning in May. So if anyone hears of someone who wants to come down for a bit and have an ideal situation ready for them, let us know.
RECENT PICS: Last week, we had a going-away party for our Danish friend. We made a bannar that supposedly said "Safe Journey", in Danish. (According to google). Turns out it does make sense, but is not a common expression in Denmark. Ooops. Google has failed me again. Anyway, here are a few quick pics from that to hold you over. Take care!
| Dan and Gretchen are new additions to the congregation from Michigan. They love to dance, so they had fun at the party. |
| We made Coke floats. (No rootbeer) |

Pahahaha o I love google!! Yeah I'll rent your place. That way I'll miss your visit and you won't be there when I visit! Wait... That's a terrible plan!!
That is exactly what I was thinking, Leah, if someone sub-lets the apt, they will miss seeing Elsie and Hannah.
Enjoy your Zone meeting, Girls!
