We have been able to put to good use our experiences in the last 7 months, knowing well the challenges of getting set up in a new country, from getting visa paperwork done, to buying home appliances. Since they've come, they've gotten right into the thick of things with the congregation, including karaoke night at the Arias house. Here's a few pictures of the past week...
Last night was mexican night. We treated everyone to a good old fashion mexican meal, including enchiladas, mexican rice, pico de gallo and horchata (thanks to Jania's recipe, which is sooooo much easier than mine) We've done Italian night before too. It's so funny how astonished the friends are here to learn that we can cook. I think they imagine us going to McDonalds or Pizza Parlors every night back home.
...not really sure what I had on my mind at this moment.

Emilee and Nini smile for the camera.
We could choose from hundreds of songs, English and Spanish. The song that I eventually scored 100 on was actually a spanish song...
Emilee can't even read yet, but knew enough of her song to score a wopping 64!!

You are missing a lot of snow here! And a KH remodel.Glad to hear your friends are there, it will be easier and more fun. I'm hoping your Mom brought back tons of pictures.
I guess you kicked us out just in time for your new pioneer partners to step in. I am sooo sad to have missed the karoke night (not really. Keep us posted on how any studies are going. We finished our KH remodel a day early with lots of help. Maybe some one will send you a picture, it looks nice
Take care.
One of my biggest fears is singing karoke. I cant think of anything else (besides Keegan in a mood ) that freaks me out more. YOU are Brave!!!
If that were me I would have to lip-sinc.
