Congregation Stats

The following information sent to us from the branch is recorded along with Peru, Venezuela and Colombia, all part of our sector of the continent.

2008 service year as of now:

403,008 publishers
57,604 pioneers
43,084 auxiliary pioneers the month of March
641,420 bible studies
125 kingdom halls built
35 remodeled
1,351,292 memorial attendance

Just for the month of May:
Colombia 257 baptized
Ecuador 768 baptized
Peru 132 baptized
Venezuela 326
(This is Impressive for us as we have the least amount of publishers; less than half the publishers of Colombia, almost half as many as Venezuela and 30,000 less than Peru. )

Our congregation of Tumbaco Norte: 2008 service year

85 publishers
6 new publishers (we just added 3 more last night)
19 hours in field service-publisher monthly average
(Ecuador’s average is 12)
115 average meeting attendance (which has gone up in recent months)
140 meeting attendance the night of this announcement and for most Sundays. (that means 55 people or more who are studying or simply visiting out of interest, minus a few witness kids, but most of them are already counted as publishers.)
32 publishers auxiliary pioneered during year
6 regular pioneers ( we now have 2 more)

The atmosphere and the content of the meetings are very different due to all the new ones in the audience. It is recommended to use simple language, and give very simple comments and talks so all the new ones and children will be able to understand. (no problem for us obviously) Many children from the territory attend as well, by themselves, as young as 8 years old. All the visitors comment. It is very interesting, especially when the answers are totally wrong or misapplied!

Hi Girls
I check al;most every day for a new post from you and was pleased to read about you service adventures. The stats help show why you are their and the blessings you all are having in doing Jehovahs work their. Good idea on the rummy game. Another language that's great, keep the mind in learning mode, far better than where mine seems to have settled. We have received a few umbrellas already to bring dwith us. Should be able to finally pick the dates soon. Keep up the good work in Jehovahs service.

Greetings Amigas,
You guys are amazing. I love the info about service. It is as if I am walking along with you in all those different conditions. Where are the potty brakes? You will be able to converse with grandpa when you get home!! Such opportunities.Celeste says you guys are so far ahead of her when she came there, in your language and fitting in. When ever I travel I take the tracks and have used them well when I was pioneering. It led to many conversations...I should remember to do it now. Say hola to our brothers and sisters for me and thanks for all the info. Would you like a dog whistle to keep them away. I could send it with your parents. Let me know. I love and miss you!! Aunt Cookie

about time! SERIOUSLY, how am I supposed to not be studying if you don't update your blog more often? I mean it's about time. Here I am... 9:40 pm and I've only studied about 25% of what I am supposed to do for tomorrow... wait... that's bad.. dang...

All I want to know is... do these guys dance better than me? :P

No, really, everything sounds so amazing. Living a life much lived will only happen in Jehovah's organization. It's incredible what we can do, and you are doing it. I only hope one day my stories will be on par with yours. Who knows I may one day be assigned to the same country you guys are in! It's a small world, you never know.

Anyway, thanks for the encouragement and the super long blogs. They are always a great breath of fresh air in the crazy lives we live.

ciao!

Can't wait to see the photos from the territory! Especially the disgusting ones.
How fun cuddling with the wind whipping around outside. We had our first hard freeze last night, no more zucchinis and tomatoes, so sad. (It took me three tries to spell zucchini right)
The boys are so big, they eat cereal now, Roman can just about sit by himself, and Nikolai is so friendly and smiles all the time.
My great niece Austen got baptised a few weekends ago. It was beautiful, very emotional. Watch for an email, I'l send a bunchof pics.
Love you two!
