Quito Pics

Hello all, I have a few more pictures here for you. Again, nothing fabulous I’m afraid. For now they are snap shots, later I will hopefully have time for some photography. But I figured these are better than nothing for the time being.

The following photos are of our trip to Quito. I took a few shots from the car window and we also visited an Observatory to get a view of Quito.

Streets of Northern Quito

The observatory from which you can see the entire length of Quito down below. Quito is very skinny and long down in between 2 ranges of the Andes. Makes for an amazing view from up top.

From inside Observatory

Cintia, Agusta´s daughter

Basilica Cathedral in the center
Even from here, you can see the Panecillo, a statue of Mary above the top of that hill there, supposedly watching over the entire city.
A few more pics from street

Theses are some photos of Agusta´s house, our good friend and mother hen.

These are just rough shots taken out the window of the car, on our way to Quito to give you an idea of what we are surrounded by every day.

The view from the valley below where we live up to the very edge of the city of Quito.

A couple shots of the front of our house, our street, the kingdom hall, the view from our rooftop, etc…
Aunt Cookie, the building on the right is ours, the one on the left is the KH. The window on the left corner there is our apt and the apt on the right corner is the Tapia´s.
View of KH from rooftop terrace
Rooftop Terrace. Could use some flowers or something, I know...
The exit from roof down to our apt.
Our deck of the kitchen. Nice place to sit at night and listen to the other congregation´s singing.

Yay, more pictures! I especially like seeing the ones that show how your valley and the city of Quito are situated there, with the surrounding mountains. The statue of Mary reminds me of the statue you see in shots of Rio de Janeiro, seems to dominate everything.
