Ok, so after a bus and a taxi and two magazine placements, we are now at Quito Airport, trying to get to the branch in Guayaquil, but it would appear that our flight was cancelled. I believe the handsome airline staffer told me that they would put us on the next flight in 2 hours, but I could be wrong. Worse yet, I can´t get a hold of anyone at the branch to let them know not come 3 hours early!
Anyway, thanks for all the comments. We like to hear about the goings-on back home, so keep us posted while we keep you posted. Deal?
We do indeed regret to inform you that Guillermo is no longer part of our family. We´ve returned him to pasture, as was well deserved. He neither rode us to meeting nor helped us reach tall things, so in the end, it was a matter of financial triage. Guillermo had to go.
While we´re waiting, we ordered a bit of breakfast in the local airport cafe, Le Petite. When asked how we wanted our eggs, I didn´t know what all the descriptions meant, so I went ahead and chose the first one: pesado. Evidentally pesado (heavy) means raw eggs in a little bowl. mmmm... lesson learned, but we´re still hungry.
One last thing before we go try the branch again: So this sunday, we have rerearsal for our congregation drama party that we are putting on for the CO visit. Our bookstudy is re-enacting a modern day good samaritan story. I requested the part of the donkey, but evidentally, there will be no donkeys in the produciton. too bad. they have threatened to make hannah and i sing an english song after our spanish one, that i believe the sisters are arranging. yeah, like that would happen in any country! Anyway, stay tuned for the outcome. Should be sufficiently embarrassing either way.
Tootles.
P.S. Internet is too slow and expensive to spell check, so disculpen por favor.

Howdy Girls
Glad to hear from you again. I think a Spanish food dictionary would be a good call.
Wow we had a great thunder/lightening storm. The clouds were coming from two different directions and started to swirl around, no twister though.
Jackie and Ben Wilson moved back and were at meeting-nice.
Over the 3 day weekend Ben Sanders tore the top off his house to add another room on and a huge rain storm blew in. Let's just say numerous buckets were involved.
Sorry to hear about no more Gearimo. I was hoping to see some pictures of you guy's on him. You have heard of save the whales, I think we may need to start a Save Gearimo foundation. That's all for now, hope to hear from you again soon. Be careful and enjoy the blessings from Jehovah as they come.

OK Girls, I am going to reconstruct the first comment I made if I can remember it. I am glad to know about the eggs as I never tried to order on my own when I was there. I'll not order eggs. When you are in any part of s.America you never know what is going to happen to your pland. They are always changed (for you). We got stuck in an airport also in Mar Del Plata-they just cancelled the flight.(no reason given) Next flight 8 hrs later-finally got them to put us on the next flight even though they only had first class available.(we won) arn't the mountains beautiful in Quito! Can't wait for your next installment. Love and miss you. Keep up the good work.
Love Auntie
I can't for the life of me figure out why someone would order raw eggs...
Brother Fessler is pretty sick, we're worried about him.
The progress on the double KH is moving right along, there is a big meeting with he Regional tomorrow.
Our Convention is in 2 weeks, it's looking like it may be hot, but as the Coliseum is air conditioned it won't be hard.I just hope I don't get stuck in an elevator like I did 2 years ago during that Heat wave.
We had another clothing swap at my house tonight. We missed you, and your Mom looked up this site and shared it with everybody there. It seemed like everybody who came got some good stuff, and the food was good, too.
Love Aunt Susan
